Raised in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains, Devin Dawson taught himself guitar and bass as a child and used them to carry his imagination away from his small hometown of Orangevale, CA. In 2012 Devin packed up and moved his dreams to Nashville to begin the songwriting program at Belmont University. Word of prowess for evocative lyrics and interwoven melodies quickly caught wind down Music Row and he was offered a publishing deal with Warner Chappel / Neon Cross shortly before graduating in 2015. After demos of his songs started circling town and A&R reps were introduced to his powerfully haunting voice offers began coming in to sign Devin as an artist in his own right and in August of 2016 he signed with Warner Music Nashville/Atlantic Records. Before the ink dried he and his road band were in the studio with Grammy-winning producer Jay Joyce (Eric Church, Little Big Town, Brandy Clark, Brothers Osborne) at the helm. 2017 promises to be a big year for Devin with the release of his debut album.
